Walt Disney World Tip #1905 - Custom Coloring Books At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite! |
In preparation for our family trips to Walt Disney World, we make each of our children their own giant-sized coloring book/trip journal. We start with a large 3-ringed binder with clear pockets on the spine and covers. The kids then color or draw their own covers, complete with stickers, stamps, etc., as well as their names prominently on the spine so everyone's book is specially personalized. Then we go to one of the many online websites specializing in hundreds of Disney coloring pages (disney-stationary.com, i-love-disney.com, etc.) and let each child choose their favorite subjects and characters. The girls usually pick Disney Princesses, Minnie Mouse, Alice in Wonderland, and Tinkerbell, while our son picks Cars, Mickey Mouse, The Incredibles, Stich, and Monsters Inc. For the older kids, you can add activity and journal pages. This gives them something special to do during the trip to WDW, as well as during the "mellow-out" times at the resort after a busy day of park-hopping. After the vacation is over, other pages can be added as well; favorite photos and even cherished autographs. Not only are these big handmade coloring book/journals fun during the trip, but they also serve as great keepsakes for years to come afterward.
