    You Discovered a PassPorter Tip!

General Travel Tip #2202 - A Better Way to Lug Suitcases

At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
Do you want to have one free hand while lugging around numerous suitcases through the airport, your hotel, etc? Look for and use your "add a bag" strap. Almost every new soft-sided suitcase will have a small strap on the top either in view or tucked in a little zippered or velcro compartment. It will be a strap with a plastic clip like a small belt. All you have to do is place your largest, heaviest suitcase as the base for your line up of suitcases. Next place the next heaviest up in front of it and loop the add a bag strap to the handle (not the adjustable handle as it will come out) and clip it shut. Do the same thing with all of your remaining suitcases. You can have a small train of cases that can be maneuvered easily with one hand. Also look out for a flap of fabric on the back of your duffles/carry on bags as this can slide down right on top of your suitcase's extendable handle. You would not believe how many people I see in the airports not using these add a bag straps and trying to pull multiple suitcases filling both hands. One extra hand comes in handy, especially when traveling with little ones!
