General Travel Tip #2155 - Scheduling for Sleep

To ensure that our kids get adequate sleep while on vacation, we plan all of our morning activities (character breakfasts, early Magic hours, etc) for the first half of the trip. In the middle, we have one mellow day that is neither early nor late, usually spent at Animal Kingdom or hanging around the resort/campgrounds. Then we plan all of our evening activities (fireworks, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Electrical Water Pageant, etc) for the end of the trip. On the "AM" days, we get back to our resort after an early dinner and the kids get to bed a little early. On the "PM" days, they get to sleep in as long as they like and we usually head to the parks a little before lunch. This helps prevent us from having sleep-deprived gremlins ruin the fun.
