General Travel Tip #2233 - Bring Glucose Tablets

When traveling with a diabetic or someone who has low blood sugar, carry a roll of glucose tablets. When you are expending more energy than usual,like doing a lot of walking, you use up your blood sugar faster. Every minute counts when someone's blood sugar is dropping fast. They dissolve in the mouth in seconds and deliver enough glucose to keep someone going until they can eat a regular meal. They come in a roll not much bigger than a pack of gum and come in several flavors. They can be found in the pharmacy section of any store.
