Walt Disney World Tip #2767 - Creative Car Trip Tips
My mom decided to take my 9 yr old son and I on his first trip to Disney. My son has ADHD and aspergers, that plus the fact that we live in Virginia, made driving a better option. But my son had never been in the car for that long at one time. We were also keeping this trip a secret so he wouldn't ask a million "are we there yet" questions. So in preparation for the drive to Walt Disney World, I wrapped little gifts that were hints (from places like Dollar Tree, Walmart, & Target) for each hour of our drive. He never once complained about the drive. He was only interested in watching the clock for it to get to the next hour. By the time we arrived in Walt Disney World he had his autograph book, special pen, light up flips flops for the pool, disposable camera, water bottle, fan, and a book about Walt Disney World written by kids.
