Walt Disney World Tip #2012 - Allgery Alert Cards for Kids

Having a toddler with a severe food allergy, my husband and I printed up business size cards with our son's name, age, our cell phone numbers and an allergy warning. On the flip side, we printed a picture of Mickey and listed our sons favorite "safe" foods. We put one card in his backpack (he carries it with him) and carried extras with us. Whenever we knew we would be stopping soon for lunch, I would take a card to the nearest cast member of the QS or sit-down restaurant. I would hand the card to the cast member, and explain that I needed to speak with a manager about safe food choices. This was really helpful at the QS locations, because the manager knew what they could serve our child before they left the kitchen to talk with me.
