    You Discovered a PassPorter Tip!

Walt Disney World Tip #1637 - Contacts vs. Glasses?

At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
Normally wear glasses but have the option of wearing contact lenses? Go with the contact lenses at Disney World. I remember a great many Disney trips during my childhood where my glasses would become fogged beyond belief either by the Florida humidity or Disney mist effects... The rain and water rides don't help either, not to mention the danger of your glasses being launched from the top of your head into the abyss of the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster or similar attractions! If you have the option, bring the contacts with you to Disney (gas permeable ones are especially great for those non-stop vacation weeks). If you can't wear contacts, try a trick scuba divers and skiiers frequently employ: spit on your glasses lenses, smear the saliva around on the glass, then dunk them in water for some improvised anti-fog. Grotesque? Yes, but better than being blind...
