You Discovered a PassPorter Tip!

Disney Cruise Line Tip #1460 - Less Laundry

At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
On our second cruise with Disney I decided I would try out the laundry on board, but skeptical if I would find time, we packed enough for seven days anyway. Well, we now have a condensed packing list for our next cruise in 2011! What made laundry a breeze was the use of Purex 3-in-1 laundry sheets along with a Shout Color Catcher sheet! It was so easy and I convinced several other cruisers of the same! All you need to do is take a tall kitchen trash bag from home, have everyone put their laundry in it, and when full take it to the laundry on the ship. Place one Purex sheet and one Shout Color Catcher in the machine and go about your day (best time is before you go to breakfast and it will be ready to put in dryer by the time you are done). When you return to put your load in the dryer, the Purex sheet goes into the dryer and finishes the load as the fabric softener sheet. The Color Catcher sheets are an amazing invention that allow you to put darks and lights together. When the dryer load is done, just turn the tall kitchen bag inside out and load your clean laundry in it to fold in the convenience of your room. For a family of 4 we did a total of 3 loads for the week and came home with clean everything! It was well worth the time and didn't have to sort or wait for a full load of darks or lights!
