    You Discovered a PassPorter Tip!

Walt Disney World Tip #23906 - Magical Memory Maker

At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
I'm the shutter-bug in my family; however, my pictures are usually missing one thing - me! So, this year I decided to purchase Memory Maker ($149 when purchased at least 3-days in advance of your arrival, normally $199) and I linked Memory Maker to My Disney Experience (and my magic band). Then I went on a quest to get as many family memories captured digitally as possible. I didn't find a cast member with a camera everywhere I turned, but they are positioned at all of the best photo opportunities (character meet-n-greets, Disney park icons, and more). So, I still had a chance to take some of my own photos. At the end of our trip to 4 parks in 4 days, we had 89 pictures on our Memory Maker account. You can go online and add really cool stickers or borders to your photos before you download them. So, I kept the best pictures and created copies on the account and added some pizzazz. Result: I downloaded 105 really great family photos to my computer along with a limited license agreement. That's just $1.42 per photo! The best part - all of those photos you normally would pay about $20 for at the end of your favorite rides are included: Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Buzz Lighteryear's Spacer Ranger Spin, Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, Tower of Terror, Test Track, and more - INCLUDED! Just tell the cast member at the photo sales desk at the end of the ride that you have "Memory Maker" and they'll scan your magic band (or PhotoPass card). Also, my 9 year-old son was in the Jedi Training Academy at Hollywood Studios. There is a cast member there getting great action photos of all the kids. The photos of my son - INCLUDED! We also went to the Spirit of Aloha Luau at the Polynesian and had a wonderful family photo taken with the sun setting and palm trees. A cast member came by our table later to sell us an 8x10 for over $30, but for us - INCLUDED! Overall, Memory Maker is a great value for some priceless memories that cost me less than $1.50 a picture.
