    You Discovered a PassPorter Tip!

General Travel Tip #2054 - Break for Food and Fun

At level 3, you can mark this tip as a favorite!
While driving long distances with children, it is important to let them get out and burn off some energy occasionally. Parents also need a little down time from the kids in the back seat. We always try to stop someplace with a play area. We order the adults' food and eat while we let the kids play. It gives us a chance to relax and them a chance to run. Then right before we leave, we order the kids' food to take in the car. No fussing to get them to eat when they want to play. No cold food when they get done running, and it provides another activity to keep them busy in the car for a few minutes. A win-win!
