I have stayed at the Park Place Inn and the Fairfield Inn, and both are good. We stayed at the Fairfield last year, and really enjoyed it. It takes about 5 min to walk to the crosswalk to Disneyland (that is directly in front of the Park Place Inn). We watched the fireworks from our balcony. Really nice.

My wife and I really have enjoyed the PPI, and we have stayed there twice in the past. The 2 different rooms we have stayed in are sort of like suites, but not full suites. There is a separate sitting area from the sleeping area. They are separated by a half wall.

PPI is probably the closest hotel off property to walk to Disneyland. I would stay in the PPI or the Fairfield again.
