Re: The Grand Fiesta 10th Anniversary Trip Report - THREAD 3 Day 9 Part 1 Updated 10/1

<font color="blue">Day 14 Part 2..........Back to Disney

We're back to Disney World.......If you want to read about the cruise part of the trip report, click here for THREAD 4.

The drive seemed longer than usual, but I think it was just because we were sad. The plan was to head to AK for the morning, and then either go check into the Poly first with lunch at Chef Mickey’s next, or go to Chef Mickey’s first and check in at the Poly after. In just under an hour later, we were welcomed by the signs.

I gave Matt my AP to give to the parking attendant, so we didn’t have to pay for parking There weren’t too many cars at AK, and we were soon walking thru the turnstiles.

Now, we’re in trouble here for the rest of the report, as I didn’t take any notes so I’ll have to let the pictures lead me as to what we did. I think it was just from sheer exhaustion

Since we had entered AK just after 9, we decided to skip the safari this morning and instead go straight to FoLK. We like to do the first show of the morning, because it’s usually half empty, and you can get a great seat First though, we headed to the Tree of Life for a family picture, as we hadn’t taken one here yet. I asked the Photopass photographer to take our picture as well, and he cut off the tree What is it with these guys It was HOT today, and he did say that AK is 4 degrees hotter than any other Disney park (I’m assuming due to all the foliage)!

That worked again, as we were just a few people back when the opened the doors. We headed for the Elephant section, and were seated in the row just behind the handicap benches. When the singers came out looking for volunteers to help make the animal noises, Alexa raised her hand and was selected She had a great time

It was another great show

After FoLK, we were walking out of Camp Minnie Mickey, when we noticed that Pocahontas was starting. It’s been a while since we’ve seen that, so after some moaning from the kids, we were soon sitting for the show. The kids decided to sit in the kids only section!

Now the kids wanted to go to the Boneyard, so we took a path that was new to us, which went right beside the Tree of Life. There were some benches, so Matt went to get some frozen lemonades and pretzels to tide us over until lunch! Then we looked at the exhibits as we walked along the path. Lots of carvings that we’ve never seen before. And we ended up at the exit of ITTBAB.

The kids played in the Boneyard while Matt went to check out EE. He came back and didn’t end up riding. It was only a 20 minute wait, but for some reason, he didn’t want to do it By this time, we were all HOT, tired, and in need of food, so we opted just to go to Chef Mickey’s early to see if they’d seat us ahead of our ADR.

Coming Up Next....It's a Small World, a not so magical place, and the luau
