Re: Best off property hotel

We really like Candy Cane Inn too. We had a wonderful stay there. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff friendly. We also had a good stay at Tropicana. It was not quite as nice as the Candy Cane, but clean and cheap. We got a special with our airfare for less than $50 a night! We used to always stay at Desert Inn and Suites and it was a huge room...more than enough for our family of 6. It has an indoor pool, which was nice in the winter. The free breakfast at both the Tropicana and the Desert Inn are not something I'd do again, but considering the low cost of the room, and the location of the property (about as close as you can get unless you spring for the GCH) it didn't really bother me. Both rooms had fridges and microwaves, and we brought our own stuff.
