New E-Worksheet: Lodging Scoresheet

A new e-worksheet is available in the PassPorter's Club ... the Lodging Scoresheet.

Compare your lodging options, including rate, extra charges, and your key features. Includes a self-scoring feature that tells you which of your options rates the best for YOU! Room for up to six hotels/motels.

Note: This is our more advanced e-worksheet to date, with many complex calculations! Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Special Features of this E-Worksheet:
  • You can compare up to five extra charges per hotel (such as Internet access, parking fees, resort fees, etc.) -- these charges can be different for each hotel. Suggestions for extra charge services are provided in a drop-down menu, or you can type in your own. You can indicate if these extra charges are per day or per stay, too.
  • You can compare up to five key features that matter to you for this particular trip (such as the availability of high-speed Internet access, a view, or late checkout). Suggestions for key features are provided in a drop-down menu, or you can type in your own.
  • You can include different check-in/check-out dates for each hotel, as availability does sometimes vary. Note also that the worksheet will automatically calculate your length of stay for each.
  • You can include the lodging tax for each hotel so you can factor it into the Rate Score.
  • Extra space for notes, confirmation numbers, anything.
  • The hotel with the best score (out of 15 points) gets a grade "A" and a green star appears to the right of it. Hotels with lower scores get corresponding lower grades (sliding scale) and red crosses to the right of them.
  • The Key Features section is important -- use it and fill it out to get the most accurate scores and grades.
  • Note that if you place just one hotel's data in the worksheet, it will be assigned a grade of "E" -- you'll need at least one more hotel to get accurate grading.
  • Last saved on date near top left of worksheet

Here is ONE example of how this worksheet could be used:

Like all our e-worksheets, this interactive worksheet is in Adobe PDF format and can either be filled out onscreen (with your data saved) and/or printed to write in by hand.
