Portofino Inn and Suites was beautiful. We stayed there during our first trip to DL in '01. The pool is teeny tiny, but they do have a hot tub, which is nice. Our room was huge. I think we may have been upgraded to a deluxe room for free, but I never did ask. We had a full balcony on our room, too. The staff was super nice and fixed a lightbulb that was out about 5 minutes after I called. I would definitely recommend it. Haven't stayed at the others you mentioned. I should mention that Portofino and the neighboring Jolly Roger Hotel are owned by the same people and you have pool rights at both hotels. So even though the pool at Portofino is small, you can walk right across the parking lot to the much larger Jolly Roger pool.
