we stay at the carousel exclusively now. the rooms are on the small side, but have been recently refurbished and are much nicer than 'basic': think thick mattress pads and down comforters, hardwood floors and wood shutters. the front desk staff is warm and welcoming. the breakfast is strictly continental but you can grab-and-go - eat some fruit and a hard boiled egg while walking to the park... talk about a time saver! my favorite thing, really, aside from the cute rooms, is the short walking distance to the parks. at the carousel it is a shorter walk from the door of our room to the security gates than it was from the door of our room at the wilderness lodge to the bus stop!!! we've stayed at the fairfield and the candy cane and really prefer the carousel for it's excellent combination of comfort, style, value and location.
