| We stayed at the Tropicana Inn the week before Memorial Day weekend - room 393. We were on the right side as you're facing the hotel from Harbor Blvd (opposite the lobby), all the way in the back - outside hallway, overlooking the pool & parking area - no balcony.
In terms of room size/amenities - it was a cross between value & moderate, IMHO. 2 queen beds, large dorm fridge & small microwave & single sink vanity outside the bathroom (which had a shower/tub combo). Entertainment center w 3/drawer dresser, a desk w/chair and small table with 2 easy chairs next to the window. The windows were screened & did open, tho we didn't try ours. We did have some difficulty getting the room cool enough for our tastes, despite the nice temps outside.
We didn't try the pool: it was pretty busy one evening - tho by the 10:00 closing time, things had quieted down quite a bit. We didn't notice any noise issues other than the pool - no turbo-flushes from next door like at the All-Stars! The housekeeping was just fine, IMHO, but I'm not a clean freak. The hospitality lounge/ "free breakfast" was nothing much at all - sweet stuff (muffins & donuts) were complimentary, everything else (cereal, beverages, bagels) were $1 each. You're better off making a grocery stop beforehand.
The laundry room has 3 washers & 2 dryers - fairly cheap ($1/wash load & $1/60 min drying time, which should be sufficient for anything except jeans/towels) - but very busy once the park closes. We did get the pizza from the restaurant one night - it was typical convenience-store takeout - not as good as Pizza Hut/Papa John's.
Oh - no Weather Channel on the TV & it can be tough to figure out the local forecast for Anaheim based on the morning news. The free newspaper was just about as much help.
