Digital Scrapbooking has a whole array of options available!

My sister & I have a website called DigiScrapInfo.com where we have a lot of information for beginners. On our blog, I have links to where you can get freebies to download & try.

We use ACDSee Photo Editor and you can read more about that here. It's a user friendly software without the huge learning curve. You can use any supplies that are available on the internet. We have tutorials & are starting to add videos to make it easy to get started.

I love digital scrapbooking because it allows me to be much more creative. The books aren't as bulky. The downside is the lack of a tactile experience. But you can mix digital scrapbooking with paper & get the best of both worlds1 Look for a magazine called Scrapbooking Dimensions.
