If you can't remove the crop box, then you can resize the crop box so it is the same size as the entire graphic. To do this, click the Crop Tool, click Layer Up as many times as necessary until the Crop Tool is the topmost layer, then hold down the Shift key while you click and drag the corner of the Crop Box -- this resizes it. It may take a couple of times of resizing it until it is the same size as your graphic, but it should do the trick.
