OK, guys... I need your help big-time.
I'd been watching this great deal on the Fairfield Inn on Expedia ($83 or so per night) for a while - and now it's gone. Acck. The price has jumped to $120/night, which is really pushing our price range.
So, I'm left with three choices, I think.
- Park Vue Inn is roughly $100/night for the time we're there (12/9-12/15) and is about as close to the entrance as you can get.
- Candy Cane Inn comes HIGHLY recommended from just about everyone, but is closer to $118/night. The shuttle is a selling point.
- Portofino Suites has the Kid Suites for $114/night & the King Suites for $100/night. No shuttle... but we did this walk 4 years ago & it was do-able.
My sons are 6 1/2 and 2 1/2... we plan on taking a travel stroller with us for the walk to/from the parks & getting around during the "tired" times of the day. My wife & #2 son will be heading back each day for a nap, while #1 son & I go see Mr. Lincoln, Whoopi, and other suitably restful activities in the parks. (We'll probably nap a couple of days ourselves.)
We're trying to save money - though I realize that "save money" and "Disney" do not go hand-in-hand.
What I need from you guys is informed opinions on:
- quality of service (if there's a problem, how quick does it get fixed?)
- decent breakfast buffet
- how well does the Candy Cane shuttle work?
- cleanliness of rooms
- other stuff that might help me make a decision
I feel like I need to get on it - most of our trip is easy to book, but the last night (12/15) is starting into Christmas vacation time.
In fact, I'm kinda getting freaked out. "Help me, Obi Wan Passporter - you're my only hope."

(Ok, now I'm just being melodramatic.)
