| I haven't stayed at the Marriott, but I've stayed at the Hilton, which is right across the street. Those hotels are very close to the "back" of California Adventure, which unfortunately doesn't have an entrance. However, it's a 10-15 minute walk at most to Downtown Disney (past Grand Californian), and then another 5 minutes or so to the entrances to Disneyland Park and California Adventure.
If you are there for a convention, you may be able to buy reduced-price tickets at a desk in the lobby -- I know the Hilton had one, and I think the Marriott did too. I saved a little money on a 1-day park hopper, and could have saved even more if I'd been willing to wait until after 4 pm to enter the parks. I don't know if the after-4 rate is less than the cost of additional days on a multiday ticket, though.
Happy planning,
Melissa
