My husband had a stroke and a few months later we flew to fl in June. He was using a one handed walker and they let him use it up until we boarded the plane. They gate checked it which meant we could have it as soon as we left the plane. He could make it from the gate to the plane down the skywalk thing, slow but ok. If this person needs the walker all the way to her seat, the airline personnel should help her and then take the walker and bring it back to her when it is time for her to get up and leave the plane. The airline personnel were very helpful and kind with us and I have seen them treat others with the same service. (Northwest and Air tran). Good Luck!
