So if your number is on the National Do Not Call Registry (which does do land lines and cell phones) and you do this (or any thing like this) then it will automatically take your number off the list and you will be subject to telemarketing calls again.
BTW if your not on that list, I recommend you doing it. It's free. you can add up to 3 numbers at a time, but it's unlimited. I register each time I get a new number and I NEVER receive telemarketing calls. | THANKS for this info, I did just that today!
