| It was just after noon and Izzy and the grandparents were due back to meet at the marina for lunch. I had asked them to call me while on the boat over from the MK and I would pick up everyone’s lunch from Gasparillas. As I was heading downstairs, the phone rang and I took all the orders. Timing was perfect as I was heading out with the food while they were walking over. This was my second lunch from Gasparillas and I was equally impressed with the food. Izzy was very animated, recounting all of her adventures this morning. My mom said the parks weren’t too busy and they conquered just about all of Fantasyland, Buzz Lightyear, and meet a few princesses, too! I was glad Izzy had this special time; she was definitely not feeling left out of this celebration. After lunch, Izzy and I headed up to Ivy Trellis to get our ‘do’s. Vivi was our hairdresser and she was great. She set Izzy up with some coloring books while I sat in the chair and let her work her magic. I wasn’t too particular and just told her I wanted my hair up but didn’t want it to look too formal. My hair is very heavy, so it took maximum pinning and hairspray (sorry ozone layer). I was very happy with the result. Izzy was next. As a side note, Izzy had a haircut the week prior and we had a practice run with a couple of different headbands to see which would be best. Izzy was adorable in all her curly glory. Fast forward to present, where I was shocked when she said to Vivi….” I want my hair straight…” No discussion was going to dissuade her, she wanted straight hair. Oh well, who was I to argue? She sat so still while she was washed, dried, and flat ironed. Of course, she loved the result, Izzy would take straight hair over curly any day. At some point during our time at the salon, Paul and Andrew wandered in. They had a great morning at DHS with our friends. I sent them upstairs to relax a bit before showereing. We had plans to meet the photographer and videographer at 3pm for formal shots. Izzy and I finished up and met the boys upstairs at about 2:40. Yikes, time was ticking but in a good way, it didn’t give me much time to freak out! We dressed quick, I put on my ‘face’ and off we went to the lobby. I cannot say enough positive accolades about Randy and Stan (photog/video)…they immediately put us at ease and had such great ideas for shots. We took pics for about an hour….inside, outside, on the beach, at the marina….Here is a few teaser pics that we managed to snap…. We wrapped it up around 4:15. I suggested we head back to our room for a biological break before meeting at the monorail station for our quick ride to the Contemporary!
