Chapter 8 fascinated me as well. The deaths and injuries that occurred were very interesting. I was intrigued by the reports of Disney security taking the film from cameras that showed something unsavory happening at WDW> That kind of reminded me of a WDW version of Men in Black. (Would that make them Men in Ears?)

I had to laugh at Hugh Hefner trying to enter MK with his female entourage. (Girls Next Door is one of my favorite shows to watch and I can just imagine all of them showing up to Magic Kingdom for the day.) I had never heard of Dayle Haddon, so I was a bit surprised to read that she was a former Disney starlet until she posed for Playboy. Although if that and the expose written about how out of touch WDW was with the real world and how "snookered" the people were to get Card Walker and the rest of the Disney heads going on Epcot, then good for Playboy! () I for one and kind of glad that Disney's original plan for financing World Showcase didn't work out they way they had intended. I like the way Epcot is now and can't imagine it the way the original plans called for. I found it interesting that even here they made sure to add some small touches to make it easier to add more countries on later. I had never really thought about the layout and placement of the countries in World Showcase, but after reading the reasoning behind the placement, I can see the logic in where they put the different countries.
I had a chuckle at the fact that Disneyland Tokyo is basically just a bunch of clones of Disneyland and WDW rides and attractions. I liked the fact that they put Epcot first but then would just kind of give "cast offs" over to Tokyo. Like the one ride/attraction that they didn't have time to completely reconstruct, so they just took it from Disneyland and plopped it in Tokyo then built a new improved one for Disneyland.
