| A Wedding & Some Friends Make One Awesome Trip, May 13-16, 2008 -Wedding Day Complete 8/3 The Players: Me, age 32 and a lover of all things Disney. Jason, age 35 and loves Disney (just not as much as a freak about it as I am) The Reason for the trip: Jason’s sister and her fiancé have chosen to have a Disney FairyTale Wedding. The ceremony will be May 14th at Sea Breeze Pointe. There are 7 of us attending the wedding. Yours truly is the Matron of Honor, so I get to be all gussied up something purty for the big event. (*I have a mini TR started in the Disney for Adults forum, but I was planning on just posting wedding details there. And do a full up TR here with the rest of our vacation. ) When they first started discussing a Disney wedding, we were planning a family vacation for the kids first trip. We figured we’d accomplish both at the same time. And then the happy couple chose mid May (and were talking about late May/June at first) for their date, and were looking at being over the max allowed guests since they are having an Escape wedding. Jason and I decide that we really don’t want to take the kids in May/June and with me standing up, it might be better to not bring the kidlets. In the long run, we could have worked it out but I like our current plans just fine. The kidlets will take their first trip to WDW in August. Where We’ll Lay our Heads at Night: Port Orleans Riverside will be our home away from home. Transportation: We decided to enjoy ourselves and rent a convertible for this trip. We’ve always wanted to, but have used the extra money to splurge elsewhere. I got a great rate so we’ll be riding in style. Of course, it will probably rain the entire time we’re there. Special Appearances: *We’re hoping to have an appearance by the lovely Maureen and baby Connor, depending on his status. Jason promised to drink a margarita for her, but he may have to fight me for it. *A few weeks ago, a friend of ours that lives in MN shared that she’d be in Orlando for work and thought of me. I emailed to find out the details and lo & behold, she’ll be there the same time we are! She’s staying at the Hard Rock at Universal, so we are hoping to meet up for drinks or breakfast one day. We see each other once or twice a year, so to be in the same area 1500 miles from home is pretty cool. *And of course, we’re always up to meet another Passporter member. I’ll have my pin on and/or my PP pouch too. If anyone is near the Boardwalk on May 14th at 2:30pm, take a gander past Sea Breeze Pointe. If you see a chick in a red dress, it’s me! The Nitty Gritty Details: Tues May 13 Jason and I arrive at MCO just before noon. Pick up the rental car and make our way to the Happiest Place on Earth. After checking in, we are hoping to head to Epcot. Providing things go as planned, we’ll meet Mo in the late afternoon/early evening. We then have a carriage ride scheduled for 8:30pm at POR. Figured we have some nice “alone” time before the big day. Wed May 14 It’s wedding day! Jason is heading out to golf early this morning. I’m heading over to my MIL’s room for the “gussy up” time. The hair lady from Beaute Speciale is coming at 10:30am to start beautifying us and we’ll have someone from CarolynAllen’s there around that time to steam our attire. Beyond this, I’m not sure what the schedule is. I know the wedding is at 2:30pm. They are having an outside photographer, Randy. After photos and the hulabaloo is finished, we’ll all head back to our respective resorts and change & freshen up. The couple is holding an Illuminations Dessert Party at the pagoda in Japan that evening. Thurs May 15 This is family day. The groom doesn’t ride some rides, so Amber wanted us to ride some attractions with her. I’m hoping to shape up some game plan for the day, but this needs to be firmed up some. We are scheduled for a dinner at Boma’s that evening in celebration of their wedding. Later that night, depending on what happens, we may drive over to the Hard Rock to meet up with our friend Liz for drinks. Fri May 16 If we don’t meet up with Liz the night before, we’ll try for breakfast with her this morning. Then it’s wherever the wind takes us. Our flight doesn’t leave until 7pm, so we’ve got a good portion of the day to play.

That's it for now. I've got my notebook ready to go, packed in the suitcase already, to write things down each night. I've got toiletries and some other items that we won't need until the trip packed already.
