A Festival, Flowers, Friends, and the Fab Four - Adventures Both Old and New Thread 2 - COMPLETE!! 5/27

This is thread 2 of this long drawn out story... Thread 1 can be found HERE in case you missed anything..

Alrighty, so after our morning at MGM, DHS, whatever, we headed back to POFQ.
When we came in we saw that Thumper and Bambi from the basket had been arranged on our bed with a little towel basket that Thumper was kind of holding..

I just thought that was too cute.

We knew Lori and Audrey had been at the pool off and on that morning from the calls she had made to Kevin while we were in the park. When we got back we changed into our swim wear and headed down. We walked all the way around the pool to see if we saw them, but no luck. Also, we had no luck finding somewhere to sit! All the chairs were full. We were finishing our second lap around when some guy took pity on us and asked us if we’d like the one chair that his daughter wasn’t using cause she was staying in the pool. We thankfully accepted and shared the seat.
After going to get some drinks at the bar we enjoyed the Jelly Bellies that were in the basket.

I enjoyed my drink, which I can’t remember the name right now….

Notice my fab Stitch towel behind me… got that back in 2006 on the CBR bday trip. Love that thing
While Andy was getting the drinks this family beside me started flipping out. Not sure exactly what the deal was but all of a sudden their teenage probably almost 20 something daughter comes up freaking out about the time. Then they start digging through their bags, running to the restroom one at a time and coming back all dressed ready to go. They were acting stressed, packing their crap by the pool, but they weren’t exactly moving at high speed. The only thing I could figure, based on my not so hidden eavesdropping, was that they thought it was a different time and their DME time was coming up sooner than they had thought….Anyway….
Not too long after Andy came back Kevin and Lori and Audrey came down and found us.

Audrey glamming it up in her bathing suit (note the crazy rushing around family behind her)…
The guys hopped right in the pool with Audrey. Remember I talked in the beginning about how much she likes “wimmin ools”. That’s Audrey speak for swimming pools.

I stuck my toes in and decided I was completely content where I was, camera in one hand, drink in the other, tshirt on, relaxing in a chair. The air was just too chilly for getting wet.
They got out to go around to the slide and I got this picture..

Look out Kevin, Audrey is already perfecting her super sexy model pose….
So they made their way over to the slide. I followed, of course, to take some pictures. While I was waiting for them to come down the slide one of the lifeguards noticed my mickey ear tattoo on my foot and asked “are those real?” So I told him yes and explained what they meant but that I was two ears behind. He was really impressed and called his buddy over to show him. One of them said “That’s a really nice tattoo”. I guess it was because it’s on my foot…. But I smiled and said thanks…and remembered that my DH was about ten feet away in the pool….and focused back on him and Kevin and Audrey coming down the slide

Unfortunately, my charm must not have been working all that great b/c the same lifeguard then asks me if I’m with them and I say yes and tells me that they can’t go down the slide together. I tried to explain that she was little and afraid to go by herself the first time but they said that for safety reasons only one person at a time can go down the slide. I personally don’t see Audrey as counting as a WHOLE other person… maybe a quarter of a person…. Maybe a third…she is kinda tall for her age….
Anyway, they made it down again before I could get to them to tell them what the lifeguard said…. And Audrey was having a blast…so atleast she got to go down twice with daddy.
She finally got up the nerve to go by herself…so mommy waited at the bottom..

Note the look of pure concern on her face She didn't want to go down anymore after that even though she said she had fun "Audrey was that fun?" "Uh huh" (nodding yes) "Do you wanna go again?" "Uh uh" (shaking head no)
While they swam, played, and in Andy’s case, acted like morons..

I took some pics around the pool.

Time to get out was fast approaching so we could get ready for our night at Raglan Road. When Audrey got out, bless her heart…I told you the air was chilly… her lips were purple and shaking. Nobody was really doing anything…they put her little cover up on which left her arms and legs exposed, so I got my towel which was still dry and wrapped her like a burrito and held her for a bit…

Grandma called while we were sitting there and Kevin handed the phone to Audrey… I think this picture is funny. I just stuck my camera out to the side to try and get a picture of her on my lap on the phone…

Pretty soon we all headed up to the rooms to get ready for our adults night out….

Coming up: migraines and head injuries…
