The Party Bus has come back from Walt Disney World and it’s time to tell the tale of the 3 generations who kept the party going for 10 long days!!! Because of the fact that there is a lot of information and photos from the trip we will just have to survive on the food porn from our meals at WDW for our party snacks. So without further delay….Sit back Relax and enjoy the adventure. A quick Introduction into the cast for those who might have missed the Pre Trip Party (To Read the Pre Trip Party Click Here ) Amy – aka “iamgrumpy” turning 26 on the trip WDW veteran- favorite characters: Grumpy, Captain Hook, and moving to Orlando Angela- aka “qvcnut55” Amy’s mom age 52 WDW Veteran also moving to Orlando eventually. Fran- Amy’s Grandma aka G’ma age 81 relative newbie to WDW. When Angela was growing up Fran earned the nickname Floor Foot Frannie…will this hold up in WDW??? Read on! Dates: May 12th 2008 to May 21st 2008 Where: Walt Disney World Resort: Animal Kingdom Lodge Celebrations: My Birthday, Moving to Orlando, and 3 generations of women exploring the world Day 0- The Night before leaving Today is Sunday May 11th and its Mother’s Day but we have such an early flight tomorrow that we will be celebrating Mother’s Day and my Birthday at my Aunt Kathy’s house so that we can crash at her place and head to the airport from her house. She lives 15 minutes from the airport so much better wake up time needed by staying there. We were all packed up and ready to go Saturday night even the car was packed and ready to go by Saturday around 11pm. Only the carry on’s with our important documents and id’s would be packed Sunday along with the gifts for my aunt and G’ma. We were up early we wanted to get a few last minute things done in the morning before heading up to my aunts around 2pm. We got the last of the chores done at home, last minute laundry, water the plants, mow the lawn, panic when you can’t find the luggage keys, panic when you realize that you forgot to check in for your flight but it is ok you still get Group A and you preboard so no biggie. Then we spent about 5 hours watching Run’s House on MTV2. My mom and I are hooked on that show and it was hard to leave even though it meant being closer to Disney. We left about 12 as we were too excited plus I lost my travel toothbrush, needed new elastics, forgot to buy foot powder, and well we somehow forgot to get my Aunt (my Godmother) a mother’s day gift so we had to stop at CVS to get everything. So we drove up to her house and stopped at the CVS by her house and got everything we needed and then headed to her house to get settled in for the night. We had take out from EB’s a local restaurant and while it was edible I don’t need to go there again and that was the consensus from everyone they just aren’t the same anymore we don’t know what has changed. After dinner, I was surprised with an Ice Cream cake from Carvel for my birthday while the mom’s got a strawberry cheesecake. We gave G’ma and my Aunt their mother’s day gifts and my mom got her gift from my cousin (he is her godchild) and I got my Birthday gift from my cousin and my Aunt. A Lowepro Slingshot 300 AW camera bag which I absolutely loved! I needed it to take my camera to WDW as the bag I had was definitely not easy to use! Here is a photo of what it looks like So once we got my camera situated we got ready for bed and watched Extreme Home Makeover it was done in Massachusetts and my Aunt’s Boyfriend had helped out on it so it was neat to see what he helped make a reality for the family. Mom slept in the guest room and I slept on the couch while my G’ma had fallen asleep on the love seat and was pretty comfortable there so with a wake up alarm set for 3am we were in our beds by 11pm but I didn’t fall asleep until almost 1. Up Next… That is an early wake up call, and what does a bottle of nail polish remover do to your planning notebook when it spills?
