Just got home from the move and I knew you would appreciate this fun fact.
I live in Poughkeepsie! (And there is no pudding factory... We are about 90 minutes from NYC and I like to consider us Westchester's Westchester)

I think that is why they had that blurb-- to "catch people up" and because everyone in the US of A already knows the show exists I think even though they may not understand the relationships like we do, they will surely appreciate that their is history.

Some other things I loved - when Carrie was packing her apartment to move in with big, she was holding, among other clothes, the pink dress that she was wearing when Big showed up to her apartment right before she left for Paris with the Russian (on the show). Loved that little throw back. |
I just got home and instantly looked for CW or TBS reruns, DBF put his foot down on putting in a DVD! lol!
I thought the throwbacks in the closet were cute. I giggled a little when she put on the dress from the TV Shows opening sequence! lol!

I keep comparing it to my all time favorite heart ache reaction - Emma Thompson in Love Actually after she gets the Joannie Mitchell CD instead of the necklace. |
The devasted bride car scene sealed the deal to me that I am a Charlotte. That would have been me!
And my favorite and most realistic in my experience before Carrie B was Sandra Bullock in Hope Floats... the way she just slept and her daughter yelled at her that "you dont check on me! you dont ask me how my day was at school!" Its classic to me how everyone tries so hard to get her to blow the stick off of her but it didn't mean anything until she was ready.
