| At the very least it's inconsiderate. I either get out of line or go get the forgotten after I've checked out. If it's not busy and I know exactly where the item I want is I might run and get it assuming I'm behind somene that has half the store in their cart and I know there's absolutely no way all of it is going to get wrung up, bagged, and paid for in the few minutes it will take me to go get my forgotten item and even then if someone is behind me I'll tell them to go ahead of me if I'm not back before the person in front of me is done.
