Hey, Heather, I know what you mean. I grew up in southern Cal and thought of it as dry. We moved to Florida and then to Las Vegas. Thinking I had left humidity behind, I was surprised to feel humidity at DLR. LOL! Once you live in the desert, I guess most places feel humid.
Since the weather will probably be similar in July and August, you might want to look at crowd levels. I would not recommend the 4th of July or the 3rd week in August.
