Well, I am probably the only one who feels this way, but I like leaving the magic! I know, you are all shaking your heads in amazement. BUT, I like downtime.
I have timeshare off property. The price difference always worked for us. Since we have 6 in our family, our choices at WDW are just too limited. We did look at Saratoga Springs, but we like our timeshares options for travel other than Disney better. We have gone to Williamsburg, VA, St. Maarten, St. Croix to name a few...... I like to leave the magic, and I like the feeling I get everytime we drive back on property. We always have a car whether we drive or fly, stay on or off property. I am not a fan of the bus system. I would rather stay at a nice hotel off property for a good price. But it is all up to personal preferences. Bottom line, I can't pay the price for the Poly for just a normal room. I know it is a normal room in an awesome place, but can't do it. (and I have stayed their twice so I know the magic there).
Bottom line? They charge more because they can. They are "the place" to be for a lot of families.....
