Forgot to mention that bell services arrived with our luggage by 11pm. I was very pleased with this since I was expecting a knock on the door at 1am.

Saturday morning came all too quickly. I never sleep well the first night in a strange place. Although, Andrew and I both agreed that the beds at Coronado were very comfortable.

Side note: later in the week we saw workers unloading new mattresses from trucks. Perhaps we were lucky recipients of a brand new mattress.

I had actually woken before the wake up call came. I showered and dressed then went outside to take some pictures of our view. I didn’t wander around the resort in case Andrew woke up and didn’t know where I was.

As you can see from the pictures, it was a hazy morning with the sun just coming up.

I also took a picture of the world’s ugliest shower curtain. Looks like someone hit the clearance sales to decorate the bathrooms.

Mickey called to wake us up. I placed the phone next to Andrew’s ear and the kid didn’t even stir. No rolling over, no groans of how he’s still tired, no protests, nothing.

I listened to Mickey and Stitch then proceeded to shake Andrew awake. I had to keep reminding him about our tour at 10:00 and that got him motivated to get moving.

We had a quick breakfast of pop tarts and coke in the room. Nutritious right? Oh well, we’re on vacation.

Breakfast of champions

This morning we learned just how close we were to the bus stop. We took the elevator again so someone could push the buttons. I had turned the wrong way off the elevator at first, then decided the people who were in there with us knew their way around so I just followed them. A quick left out of the elevator and across the parking lot and there was the bus stop.

A bus came after about 10 minutes or so and I realized we weren’t going to make it to the opening ceremony. Andrew discovered one of his favorite things to do was to stand up on the bus, even if there were seats available. After all it’s not everyday that you’re allowed to stand up while a vehicle is in motion. Can you tell we don't take public transportation? I guess everything is fun when you're not allowed to do it at home but you can on vacation.

We arrived at the MK a little past 9. Bag check and the ticket entrance were both quick. We stopped to have our picture taken in front of the castle. Then it was off to Dumbo. Everything I’ve read had said to always do Dumbo first thing before there were long lines. Well, even that early in the morning we waited 15-20 minutes to ride.

After Dumbo I told Andrew we had time for one more ride before our tour. He didn’t want to do the Pooh ride and we chose Snow White instead.

This is where Andrew started a running commentary of how Snow White was his favorite movie when he was a baby, but he doesn’t like it now. He just likes the ride.
When Andrew refers to things as “back when he was a baby” he could be talking about just last year.

We boarded our “Happy” mine car and off we went. It’s been a while since I’ve been on this ride. When the witch pops out at you in the beginning it scared me to the point where I jumped about a foot in the air. Andrew closed his eyes in some of the dark parts but insisted he wasn’t scared.

After, we stopped in the shop to get Andrew an autograph book. I had intentions of making him one but I just got too lazy and never did it.
