| The convention center is right around the corner - We've stayed at the Annabella, which is directly next door to the convention center, and walked to the Grand Californian. It's a bit of a walk, but definitely doable. You could also cheat (not sure about mornings, but afternoons) by taking a tram to the parking lot (not the garage, but the one behind DCA - it's either Lion King or Timon, I can't remember), taking the second stop and walking out right at the light to cross Katella into the Convention Center. That is, of course, if the lot is open - it was closed the last time we visited in July.
Otherwise, you can walk down Disney Way, turn left on Katella and it's 1/2 block down on the right.
