Tink and Dave are very correct. Even thought we live in San Diego we try to stay at the Ramada Inn Main Gate which is across Harbour and down a few 'doors' from the Disney Plaza and it is rather safe to walk from DL/CA to any of the hotels along Harbour at dark. We feel safe as there are plenty of people present and the lighting is bright enough to cause you no worries. Don't be bothered with those thoughts, just enjoy your visit to "our" little bit of Disney.
