| Would you're family be willing to make the holidays a potluck style affair? You and DH provide the turkey/ham (whatever your main meat dish is) and non alcoholic drinks and family/friends provide everything else. Have tried discussing this with the various family/friends that come for the holidays they may very well be willing to skip the gifts for the adults and just do gifts for the kids since they're probably having a rough time financially due to the hurricane too or at least would most likely understand why you are.
