What I am seeing from a travel agent standpoint is this-
People who had already done a deposit etc on their trips are not cancelling.
Many who I have been working on quotes for have come back and asked for cheaper options, some saying they are putting their plans on hold until the economy sorts itself out.
Those who have been feeling the crunch all year are booking more in the budget to moderate range, where before they may have booked in deluxe. That is the trend I am seeing, and wisely so! It is a concern for everyone, and we need to make our dollars stretch...but I am kind of a cheapskate by nature, so I always feel that way!
