As it has come to pass, my boyfriend and I are now engaged! This is a super exciting time for us and since I am so accustomed to sharing my excitement here (mainly because the last 3 years the thing I was looking forward to was my Walt Disney World trips), I thought what better way to do so then with a pre-wedding report!

Where do we start?

Here is our happy family:


Rob, is 23 years old, he works as an IT Technician for IBM and makes me laugh everyday! He is kind, sweet, and can always get me to crack a smile—even when I am at my crankiest or moodiest. We met in high school and will be together for 8 years by the time we get married. Rob loves hockey—is constantly torn between being a NY Rangers and a Pittsburgh Penguins fan—and his biggest fan is our dog, Liam! I often complain that Liam “loves Rob more than he loves me”! But he lived with Rob for a whole year before the three of us moved in together!

I am 25 years old, teach 9th grade Global Studies at the high school we both met at and love my job! I am very hardworking, loyal to the few close friends I have, enjoy organizing and planning (especially vacations), and scrapbooking. I started working to lose weight this summer. I have lost 15 pounds of the 55 my goal was to lose. I have hit a bit of a plateau but I think with the help of the Challengers here on the forums I will be able to overcome it!

Oh yeah, and we love Disney World! Rob says I love it more than him and often tells me I am psycho… but once we get there he is in his happy place—he takes pictures of EVERYTHING so he “doesn’t forget what it felt like” and sees hidden mickeys in the lamps of the Orlando airport! LOL!

As for our wedding, I will post some of the things from the end of my TR soon but for now let me just start by saying… we are well under a year as our wedding date is set for July 24, 2009!
