Wasn't aware of the food drive.
I had been hoping the pack would do something I could count for that elective. I was thinking of suggesting a toy collection, like for Toys for Tots or even something local. I keep learning more about the pack - like how they have only been rechartered for a few years, so I guess you could say they are still getting on their feet. It's been pretty basic stuff that they've been doing. That one family that I thought was so sharp back at our first meeting, apparently they just moved here a year or two ago, and have introduced the belt loop/pins to the pack, as well as day camp and the BSA Family program. Anyway, I'll see what we can come up with for a food or toy drive, there is a local charitable organization that I'm sure would be thankful for whatever we could come up with.
Such a sad story about the dog!
