9 year old vinyl will probably not like being tossed in the dryer....
But, if you wanted to try, this would be my suggestion:
- Try only one poncho at a time.
- toss in a damp bath towel and a couple of tennis balls to keep the environment moist and to pummel the vinyl a bit.
- run your dryer at a low heat setting at first
- Check the poncho after the dyer has been heated up and running for a few minutes. If all is okay, let it run a few more minutes or until it seems like the poncho is warming up and losing wrinkles.
- Before the ponchos are completely wrinkle-free, take it out and hang it up immediately. The rest of the wrinkles will pull out as the poncho cools down.
- start the next poncho using the same protocol
Once they are completely cool, you can try to fold them up again.
Good luck - I hope they hold up for you!

PS - remember that Disney will replace any of their ponchos if they pop a tear or are damaged... Just take them to the nearest merchandise counter and ask for a replacement.
