| Yes, there's no rule against being on the dining plan AND getting the TIW membership. It works on all out-of-pocket expenditures (like alcoholic drinks and special order cakes), but you would need to spend $300 in those OOP items to recoup your initial membership fee.
For some families who travel multiple times a year, the membership is worth it, even when on the DDP.
