I broke my ankle in 2 places back in 2004. Luckily I was on the walking cast when I got to Disney but I rented an ECV for Epcot which was great. They had none left when we got to MK so I had a wheelchair and my hubby pushed me around. Definately doable but the ECV was much easier. Rent from offsite for length of stay though. Airport personell are wonderful. You are not allowed to take the crutches through the scanner so you will have to hop if you cannot put any pressure on it but someone should assist if you can stand on one side, reach your arms all the way through and the airport person holds your hands as you hop through. This was my experience but that could have changed. They might just do a special wand search. Again I was in the walking cast by then which was removable so I also had to remove it. Good luck and enjoy the trip.
