| I have had the same carrier for many years and don't intend to switch, so I would upgrade. I would also never drive without a cell. I know we did it for years, but it really does add to one's peace of mind.
My kids all use cell phones rather than land lines. My oldest son doesn't have a land line in his apartment and my DD never even set her phone up at school.
