with DDP it is not worth the extra cost.

you can stay in each resort as long as you like - one night or seven nights - it is up to you - before you go to the other resort.

disney will move your luggage - so no problems there - now you have to pack up - that is a lot of work to some people.

you move yourself and your family.

what I do is go to the EMH morning - take the bus back for the new resort - check in - then go back to the park. then afterwards go back to the new resort.

the morning before I left checked my luggage in with bell services. told them the details.

now since your luggage might not arrive in your room until 3:00 pm check in time. then you need to take anything you will need that day. definitely sun screen and meds - plus swimming suit, maybe extra clothes. don't forget your sun glasses!!!
