Look at the hotels (motels) between Anaheim Inn and Camelot Inn for a short walk to the front gate. Park Vue Inn is pretty much dead on with the crosswalk leading to DLR, so the closer to that hotel, the better.
I'd make your reservations as soon as possible. I already have reservations for October, November and December. My choice is Desert Inn & Stes. It's not luxury, but I like the family suites. 4 queen beds, 2 bathrooms. I just haven't found a better price for what we get. Most of these hotels are more like "motels", but I don't mind.
