Chris and I drove from Beach Club to the Studios. I was tired and wanted a break - so we picked the car up from the Beach Club (so loving that DVC valet benefit) and drove to the studios and parked in the Stage Lot. I knew we'd be having a VERY large snack based dinner- and we'd had a large lunch - but after all that PP touring - I wanted something sweet - we decided on milk shakes from Min & Bill's Dockside Diner and sat on the benches and drank our nice, cool, blood sugar recharging shakes.
Then we slowly headed over to the RNR Courtyard - stopping for a couple of pics along the way -

It was too funny when the photographer said "how bout a kiss?" - Chris looked at me weird, Chris said "ok come here" and I said "Honey, I think she means US!!".
We found a spot to crash and rest on the wall of the courtyard in the shade. I lay with my head in Chris' lap and we just people watched and talked. It was really relaxing and was enough downtime to let me recharge.
After awhile - a gaggle of PPers began to arrive for the MEI travel dessert party -

After all of us arrived and checked in - we were directed behind the scenes (no cameras - sorry) and behind TOT to the back enterance of Fantasmic - were we found a wonderful scene waiting for us -

Oh those decedant sugary sweets!!! The birthday boy was pretty dern happy!! What a birthday party!
I will admit to not being much of a Fantasmic fan - I hate waiting 30-60 minues sitting crowded on the hard metal benches - but if I could see it like this all the time - it would be one of my favorite evening shows!

And then the show started and we moved up to the rail for a closer view -
After the show - we continued to eat for a bit to let the crowd thin - and then were re-escorted back down the super top secret back enterance and back into the public areas of the park. After the show - I was BEAT!! We decided it was best to head back to the room (and I was hoping that a Happy Birthday card or something would be waiting for us....) and get some rest since we had another busy day planned.
I think Chris had a great 42nd birthday - but now I am worried about how to top it next year for #43!!!
