I'm so sorry to hear about you having to cancel. My DH is with Chrysler Financial and they let 350 people go yesterday.
He should be safe because he is the encryption/security guy, and they don't want anyone getting into their computer files (like, I don't know, disgruntled past employees?!?). But barring a stroke of good luck for the company, he will be out of a job within the next few years, if not sooner. He has his resume out there, but the pickings are slim (especially around the Motor City). I'm crossing my fingers that things get better for you - I know they will!
