Flashback: "Millionaire" Meet April 17, 2001

Announcing a joint PassPorter/RADP Meet!

Who Wants to be a Millionaire - Meet It!
Tuesday, April 17, 2001

PassPorter authors Jennifer Watson and Dave Marx, and Deb Wills (of WDWIG.com and All Ears) challenge you to a round (or two) of WDW's newest attraction, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - Play It! on Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at Disney-MGM Studios.

We'll meet right after Rope Drop (approx. 9:00 AM) at the intersection of Mickey Avenue and Minnie Lane (between Sound Stages 3 & 4) with four goals: 1) Obtain FASTPASSes for the *Noontime show (presuming we'll be able to select the showtime of our choice, as has been rumored), 2) Enter the first game of the day on the Standby queue, 3) Cheer loudly if one (or more) of us make it into the Hot Seat, and 4) Report our exploits to the Internet-based WDW community (especially if one or more of us makes it into the Hot Seat).

Late risers are free to take their chances and join us at the same meeting spot a half-hour prior to the *Noontime show (preferably with a FASTPASS in hand). While we're standing around some of us may share our Opening Night impressions of Animal Kingdom Lodge and report on the early morning round of Millionaire.

RSVP encouraged but not required, to: meets@passporter.com All those who RSVP will be notified via e-mail of changes to the Meet plan, if any (see below). Updates will also be posted right here on this message board.

NOTE: Who Wants to be a Millionaire - Play It! is currently scheduled to open on April 7, 2001. The plans for this Meet are based on information and rumors availble at the time of this announcement. Plans are subject to change once the attraction opens to the public and details of its operation can be verified first-hand (quite possibly by one or more of the folks who live in the Greater Orlando area and have used their APs far more often than is just or fair to those of us who live so far, far away).

* (Footnote) The "Noontime show" will be the first show scheduled to take place at or after 11:30 AM. In all likelihood this will be the third or fourth show of the day, so if the early risers can't get a FASTPASS for the Noontime show prior to the first show, they stand a passable chance of getting a FASTPASS for the Noontime show when they exit the first show.
We hope.
