Day Three...
It was finally time for me to relax and enjoy our vacation. Keeping the secret and worrying about all the plans had made me crazy since we got there, so I was ready for a great day at Epcot. We decided to walk over to Epcot for breakfast, since I had heard that the Fountainview Cafe had some great pastries. We were in fact very impressed with everything. I must say that the biggest thing we missed at YC was a typical Disney food court. We had been so spoiled by those at the All Stars, POR, and even GF. I just really enjoy being able to stop in for a quick snack or cheap meal now and then, but we managed to find other places instead.
We headed straight for Test Track and picked up Fast Passes for later. After hitting our favorites in Future World we grabbed some fish and chips and decided to take a mid-day break to Stormalong Bay, our first opportunity to ever check it out. Well needless to say we were amazed by this place. I could have floated around until we had to leave on Sunday. We were really lucky that it wasn't that busy, so it felt like we had it to ourself. There was no line for the slide, so we were able to use that several times too. Unfortunately a thunderstorm chased us out, but we had dinner reservations to get ready for anyway. Overall it was the perfect day to take a break since Epcot was only a short walk away.
We headed back to the park for dinner at Le Cellier in Canada. We had tried lunch there last year and fell in love with it so I figured I couldn't go wrong with it for dinner. Once again we were very happy with everything, as I tried the salmon and Nicole tried the chicken. After dinner we managed to catch half of Off Kilter's show which I hadn't seen in a while. We really enjoyed what we got to see and then headed to the UK to see Nicole's favorite, the British Invasion. It was at this point that it started to rain, but we stuck it out and got to see their entire show.
However by this point it was a torrential rain, so we sought cover in one of the stores for a little bit. Since the rain wasn't letting up, we ran to one of the Friendship boats which took us back to the resort while staying dry. Unfortunately we didn't get back to Epcot to tour the countries or see Illuminations, but we were happy to get to see what we did. We listened to Illuminations from the resort and treated ourselves to a banana split from Beaches and Cream before calling it a day. Hopefully tomorrow that Florida rain would stay away!!!
