Attention- Disney Visa Cardmembers!

I know many of you on here are also Disney Rewards Visa cardholders with Chase. When planning a trip I always stock up on Disney dollars by paying my regular expenses with my card and whatnot. So I logged in today at work to see how many DDRD I had accumulated on my new statement and my credit line has gone from $5,200 to $900.

I promptly called costumer service and was put through to the dept that handles this. They literally had no reason for this. During the planning of our wedding we ended up carrying interest on the card for paying for some of the big tickets items but promplty paid it off with the balloon check I get at the end of each school year (I am a teacher so its my summer pay). So we have not had more than a couple hundred bucks on the card for at least the last 7 or 8 months.

I reasoned with them that now that I am married and my husbands credit is so wonderful, my credit should have gotten better. I even asked her to look at passed statements from 2005 or 2006 when I carried a much much much higher balance. She had nothing to say. Literally no response.

I was getting pretty outraged that this costumer service rep has no reason why, even though my credit has gotten BETTER my credit limit went down. And I have never been late or went over my balance in the 6 years I have had the account! Then when we looked further into the account they had sneakily increased my APR as well. I was livid, threatened to cancel the account and asked to speak with management. To appease me they increased my limit to $2000 on the spot.

I know this is a hard time for credit companies. But I do not think I deserve to get penalized for being responsible with my credit when 4 or 5 years ago when I was maxing out the card they continually upped the limit. Not that $2000 is anything to scof at, I just like to pay my final WDW payment on the card, and reap the DDRD benefits! And I liked knowing that God forbid something horrible happened or I was stranded I had an emergency card.

In any case, I just wanted to urge everyone to check their accounts online now and their statements and make sure you did not also recieve a sneaky credit line decrease or APR increase!!

Have a magical day! lol! TTFN!
